NOTES FROM AFRICA

New season: only for your eyes *

I invite you to discover the first eleven realizations of a series of "Books of Africa" (2007) fresh on the subject of correspondence and travel. Needless to build a sanitized speech, all these warm colors, such ocher cast mingling heaven and earth, representation and abstraction, architecture and spaces, and infinite time, all this is just for your eyes.

But also ...
... drawing, nudes in charcoal, graphite, collage. I take this opportunity to deliver you a modest and very personal vision. Know
undoubtedly draw gives the artist the public eye, credibility and generally reassuring. That said, it is a very subjective notion to the subtle nuances and infinite. Indeed, while drawing or music, virtuosity exists and never fails to take effect. But alone it is not enough if the work is devoid of soul or emotion and spirituality. The view was quite personal that involves me, I prefer a less dextral hand, but that will transmit and transcribe accurately and talent silent vibrations of the soul, capture the essence of the movement, attitudes, capture the breath of life that animates the subject, which emanates from it. Know
handling perspective, using the proportions at best, is indeed the very least and the least of respect for oneself and others, but even among the largest (Degas, Gericault) you will discover with astonishment a few blunders - generally imperceptible as the talent is immense proportions-in, one leg, one arm against the trunk. Yet the design is sublime, the key is there. It is humbly what I tend to my work, whether in a more abstract or figurative approach. The virtuosity and pure ice I'm bored. And this is not a way to advocate for dilettantism or very nearly, still less the hoax is a way of feeling things, a way of being.
