AMERIKA
(It What America?)
hard-core pornography is difficult to define but I know when I see .
Potter Stewart
Already widespread abuse contained in the name is symptomatic. Do not lose sight of that when we wonder what America is. Moulting Mickey Mouse? Coca-Cola? Marilyn Monroe? A Indian reservation? Black backs bent in plantation white? Peter Fonda about his bike throwing away his watch that no longer works? Success? Wealth? Infinite freedom that ends before the gun threat on the lawn carefully clipped the remaining friendly neighbor?
In the Czech basin, we sacrifice to the popularity of plaid shirt and cowboy hat. We sit around the fire and the sound of the guitar, sing: "Kentucky, Tennessee, through mountains and forests ..." At the same time, one way or another, we doubt that our actual track does not lead to deep forest border two states united, but hedges and grasslands that are well known, after all, sung our national anthem. So what is America? Perhaps the romance, adventure, a kind of placebo freedom undercooked, an ancestral archetype of freedom, a gem lost in the formless and porous residue of everyday life. I confess that I do not know exactly.
The view is obscured by the shadow of a landscape showing off obesity consuming hamburgers, colorful self-proclamation of its indispensable necessity, the emphasis oaf monsters chromés.Je recognize this feeling confused and yet tenacious in photos black and white Jan Horacek, taken from elsewhere, except in countries beyond the ocean.
