Approach:

"The design accuracy is found at the base of all my designs and the combination of primary colors made up my palette. Like many, nature, people and things speak to me and inspire me. Painting is both a time of hard work and relaxation, anxiety and joy, and satisfaction is exceeded. It is a daily therapy. Try to provide knowledge and enthusiasm with printing. "

Lap Dance Strep Throat

Towards a mutation in the neighborhood Locmaria?

Saturday held a general meeting of the association of the "Village of Locmaria. Remember that this ancient village, now area Quimper, was the chosen land of potters.
Marc Andro, deputy mayor of Quimper, was present at this meeting ... opportunity to revisit the situation in HB-Henriot factory but also elaborate on the projects the city now owns all the buildings of the factory.

In The Telegram February 14, 2011 (excerpt):
P o Marc Andro, Deputy Mayor, who attended the meeting, the bankruptcy reorganization of the pottery is positive: "This will allow buyers to occur and the court to decide the best solution. " He recalled that the City owns real estate. In unoccupied areas, it is intended to create activities "and artistic heritage."

In West France from February 14, 2011 (extracts):
A new period
At the general meeting of the association " The village of Locmaria "on Saturday, Marc Andro, vice president of Quimper Community for Economic Development, spoke about the future of the neighborhood. "It is true that things here evolve rather slowly, starting with the priory. The HB Henriot pottery is in receivership. From the outside, it's bad news. For my part, a new period begins. "The Chosen is confident:" It is the administrator to seek a buyer. I think that by this summer, the choice will be made. There will be many proposals. I fear they do not hire everyone. But we will do everything to ensure that activity remains Locmaria. "
And the premises of the pottery?
end of 2010, the City bought the estate of HB Henriot pottery. "This is a significant financial decision as it has cost the city more than 2 million total, said Marc Andro. The new buyer probably not only use all the space. We plan to implement other activities on site in the arts or heritage. Some are already interested in the buildings of the High Street. "Tourist Slippers Rivalin, School of Embroidery ... what are the names already mentioned but nothing is yet done.
[...]
Four showrooms
The City wants to develop activities in the halls of the Priory it currently leases. "There are four spaces very interesting that we devote to arts events." In early April, an exhibition of crafts held there. And this summer, a major exhibition of creations of embroiderer Pascal Jaouen is already programmed. As for the arrival of a museum, the question remains. Finally, the draft Regional School of Fine Arts also supplies the discussions on the possibility Creation of an antenna around Quimper pottery.

The Bard and his wife come to the Museum ...

One more reason to visit the Museum of Pont-Aven: three earthenware from Henriot, works by the sculptor Louis-Henri Nicot, just make their entrance. The Bard Cueff and his wife, a native of Pont-Aven, the subjects of ceramics between the two wars are now visible:

Article Source cliché - Ouest-France edition of February 12 2011

The bust Janedick Cueff: a real asset to the museum - Pont-Aven

The bust in white earthenware Janedik Cueff, made in 1928 by Louis-Henri Nicot (1878-1944), found his casket to the museum. It is accompanied by two faience statuettes (1927) again representing Janedik Cueff and her husband Emile, works by this artist and made by Henriot. The first piece is a gift-Annick Caignan Cueff, Maryvonne Cueff seconds, two of the three daughters of the couple.
"We need to encourage patronage, and keep his pieces in a show of no interest. Here everyone can benefit. "Mary Cueff looks tenderly pieces representing his parents, describes the beautiful white bust and continues "The bust was made of oak and color, and one piece blank that Louis-Henri Nicot gave to Mom. His place was here, we agreed with my sister. "
European tour in Breton costume
Janedik, from Pont-Aven, and Emile Cueff, Bard, a native of St. Pol de Leon, known among Botrel and married in 1926 in Pont-Aven. They then sailed across Europe until 1965, and sang the repertoire of Theodore Botrel, "always in costume and with us too, children. "
Janedik Cueff, was one of the last Pontavenistes to wear the beautiful headdress of Pont-Aven, a little smaller today. Emile Bernard (1868-1941), under the charms of the family has produced three paintings, "But we do not know where are the stars. " The painter who kept up a correspondence with Janedik Cueff, asked him in one of his letters to keep her pretty dress, something that the lady did not fail. A letter carefully guarded by the family, a copy was made for the museum.

HB-Henriot - national treatment ...

cliche Rue 89

The status of HB-Henriot factory through the prism of national media is necessarily reductive. Centuries of creations and artists seem to dissolve in the endless "bowls ears" ...
Better to read the various contributions with a certain detachment, retaining however the proposal made by our mayor of Quimper, Bernard Poignant, at Rue 89, I quote:
Every time a couple married, the town of Quimper faience Henriot their offers. We need everyone to come home to marry us to sustain the tradition.
This is a humorous proposal a few days before Valentine's Day ...

Read:

As for the factory itself, it published a few days on its website a statement:
Dear friends, clients and partners,
You are probably aware difficulties encountered by the pottery of Quimper HB Henriot, who was placed in receivership February 4, 2011.
Adjustment judiciary does not mean stopping the activity.
Instead, the company continues to manufacture and to ensure normal deliveries, all of us have at heart to contribute to a sustainable future for the brand-HB Henriot.
In this transition period, your trust is the most valuable support.
can usefully contribute to the future of HB-Henriot pottery by shopping our online store at our factory shop Quimper or our dealers.
Thanks.

HB-Henriot: Daily newspapers

Le Parisien, AFP and the website of Le Figaro relay the same information concerning manufacturing HB-Henriot:

HB-Henriot looking for a buyer

The faience Quimper HB Henriot, whose ears bowl painted by hand is one of the leading products Heritage tableware Breton, was placed into receivership and is now seeking a buyer, officials said Tuesday from the company. "The bankruptcy will allow investors to come forward," he told AFP spokesman HB Henriot. He also said that there is no "threat to employment" and the company that honors its controls work "normally".
HB Henriot, which employs 50 employees and annual sales of 2 million, suffered the brunt of competition from Asia, primarily in the bowl invented Breton in 1936 by the SME. Bowls ears, with a name painted, had been a huge success with first holiday of the Popular Front. The potter is now more a leader on this market due to high production cost. "We are copied on this product," said the spokesman, who said that the entire production of HB Henriot is "100% French" and "entirely painted by hand."
"is a characteristic of the company," while the competition uses a method of "transfer" to print bowls, he also said. The municipality of Quimper, who wishes to preserve the know-how of the potter installed in the city Finisterian since the seventeenth century, acquired the premises of the company for 2.4 million euros, according to its mayor Bernard PS Poignant, contacted by AFP.
"Me, I would hate it (the company HB Henriot) disappears. I really hope that there will be a buyer," said Poignant, stating that several candidates were in the ranks, whose company Quimper garment Armor Lux.
But its CEO Jean-Guy Le Floc'h, who will not give a response until a fortnight believes that it is "too early" to decide. "We have not had time to study the issue," said the hosier Quimper.

The Telegram February 9 returned briefly to this information:

Recovery of HB-Henriot: Armor Lux does not deny nor confirm

Armor Lux candidate rerpise HB-Henriot? The question on everyone's lips in Quimper since the announcement of the bankruptcy reorganization of the famous pottery Quimper Friday.

"We have studied the record, a year ago," confirmed yesterday that Jean-Guy Le Floc'h, the CEO of hosiery Quimper. Without giving effect however. Placement into receivership of pottery exchange he gives? "It is too early to tell," he says, neither confirming, nor denies review the case. HB-Henriot - continued

Two articles in local newspapers of the day:

In The Telegram:

is one of the most iconic companies Quimper. And oldest with its 320 year history. The faience HB-Henriot, 51salariés, was placed yesterday in receivership by the Tribunal de Commerce of Quimper.
E n three centuries of existence, HB-Henriot has never deviated from its production technique: the hand-painted.

Company living heritage

Here, no decals, no industrial production chain, but making a show of hands peinteuses the decor of any room. Pieces signed by their initials. A fidelity to an art table then, which also entails significant costs of manufacturing cost and therefore deal with the explosion of globalized production at low cost. In recent history, HB-Henriot has almost disappeared. That was in 1983. The company which employed over one hundred employees owed his salvation to his representative to the U.S. market, Paul Janssens. Seven years ago, he had sold the company to a buyer Locmaria quimperlois Pierre Chiron. New collections, rejuvenation range diversification in the field of jewelry, the health of the company remained precarious. Also changes depending on fluctuating dollar export market. But compliance with the "hand-painted" had enabled the pottery of the Odet docks to get the label "enterprise of living heritage."

On sale for two years

late 2007, a social plan 20personnes was downsized to 51 employees including 35 in production. = This was more a mystery for more than two years, HB-Henriot was for sale. The transaction had been close to reaching early 2010. At the end of last year, the city already owns a game of real estate, bought the entire premises sold. An operation of 1, 8M €. € 2.4 million on the entire two slices on 4350 m². In early January, Michel Merle, Director General referred to a "period complicated to manage 'in a stabilization in sales to € 2m (The Telegram, 10 January). He then spoke of "the little erosion tableware linked to the phenomenon of prevailing crisis." Erosion partly offset by the results obtained by the sale of jewelry now accounts for 15% of sales.

"Historically linked to Quimper ..."
With this investment in receivership, (that is to say in a situation of default but not in receivership), HB- Henriot finds himself more than ever in search of a hypothetical buyer. "I hope it will be possible to find a buyer. A city like Quimper desire that the activity of HB-Henriot, with which it is historically linked, and that extends social support is the best possible ", commented yesterday, Bernard Poignant, mayor of Quimper. He mentioned the desire for a "rapprochement between the two companies Quimper pottery so as to be consolidated, "referring to another Quimper faience, FOB, the Faience Breton art. So far these attempts at reconciliation have always failed. Yesterday, we were not able to join the leadership of the pottery.

; Jacky Hamard

In western France:

Faience HB Henriot : how to avoid breakage?

Placed in receivership, the company continues to live. What are the solutions to save jobs and skills?

The reasons for the failure
activity How labor can she survive in Europe today face competition from countries with low labor costs? That's the difficulty encountered by HB Henriot. Hand-painted how can it compete economically against the Chinese or industrial production? The current team has created lines of high value with limited need for labor. Such as jewelry. But it was not enough. The new economic model must prove itself.
A receivership
Given the financial situation of the company, Pierre Chiron, the owner, has asked the commercial court to pronounce a receivership. Quimper judges have accepted this solution. It allows freeze the debts of the company: some vendors, but more importantly, the State through the tax and social contributions. Bank debt would be minimal. Now is an administrator, Ms. e Sophie Gautier, who manages the company. Continuous production. The store remains open. The 51 employees are still working.
A recovery possible?
Now, the administrator will issue a call for nominations to find a buyer. We know that in previous months, many investors (thirty) studied the folder. Today, it could be 4, 5 or 6 interested in the recovery. In court then choose the offer which can at best reconcile the maintenance of employment and the sustainability of the company. An equation that is not easy to solve.
How good is business?
HB Henriot no longer owns the building that houses its activity in the neighborhood Locmaria. Pierre Chiron had sold the building. A private developer had expressed interest. Concerned about urban development in this location, the city has paid for acquiring the whole. Cons rent paid by the company to the community. Physical assets can be summed up in a stock, a business and clientele. This is not negligible. Most importantly, HB Henriot is a household name, even and especially abroad. The know-how of employees, the latest (jewelry) is a real potential that may interest an investor. "This is not an empty shell" says Michel Merle, the director general.
A burst of potters?
is one of the dreams of Bernard Poignant, mayor, leading to reconciliation between the two Quimper faience (see elsewhere). HB Henriot and Art Faience Breton ... Three years ago, came close to achieving a reconciliation. The current crisis may revive the momentum? It's hard to believe. It's a whole industry suffers. Revive momentum in this context is difficult. Today, beyond the economic issue, politicians will need to address, urgently, on ways to assist at the crockery. Presence, proposals, prospects. How else face a sector emblematic of a tradition? Especially since the takeover candidates will be sensitive to this climate.

Bad news for the factory HB-Henriot

Information has just fallen through the website of the newspaper Ouest-France:

Some information published online by The Telegram:

HB Henriot. The Quimper faience in receivership

In economic difficulty for several months, the company HB Henriot was placed in receivership by the Tribunal de Commerce of Quimper this morning. Fifty people, including 35 in production, currently working in the famous pottery Quimper created 320 years ago.

Attempts to diversify
The CEO, Pierre Chiron, which acquired the pottery seven years ago to Paul Janssens, not hiding not, for two years, his intentions to sell the company he founded 320 years.

Toe Shortening For Men Canada

News from the factory HB-Henriot

Leaves force is almost a month late I am giving you today some of the new HB-Henriot Quimper factory. If
sounds great changes were in the air, the article (The Telegram - January 10, 2011) offers little detail about the future of Quimper pottery.
To be continued ...

Michel Merle, CEO of HB-Henriot.

HB Henriot. Jewelry to the rescue

Seven years ago, Paul Janssens, the savior of 1983, yielded the HB Henriot Finisherien Pierre Chiron. The company today stabilizes its turnover, thanks to its line of jewelry, while seeking a buyer. Overview with its director general, Michel Merle.

diversification to your jewelry seems gradually become an important part of your production to more traditional tableware.
is one of our development priorities, in fact, that symbolizes a living Quimper, cultivating new customers. We invested the field of fashion five years ago, but the last two years, we are truly "keyed" on two collections of jewelry a year, the pace of trade shows in France, the United States and Japan. If you do not keep this pace, damn. We are currently preparing for the exhibition "Shards of fashion ', which runs from January 19 to 24 this year in Paris.

What do you have?
We present a fifty models for each collection, with prices ranging between 25 and 70. So far, it was mostly necklaces and bracelets. We have just introduced the rings. It will perhaps one day the earring

How much is the jewelry in your business?
Today, the sale of our jewelry is 15% of our turnover. In one year we went from 150 to 300 million euros. Our goal is to reach 20% of our revenues in 2011 and stabilize this ratio. Apparently, like the concept, like the product and the material allows great opportunities. But we are in the jewelry. It will not replace a gem in silver or gold.

What are your distribution channels for your jewelry?
We operate in 200 outlets in France, mostly retail. We prefer a multitude of small retailers. We are also in some stores, like Spring in Brest. In a second step, we will tackle the export market.
What is today the turnover of HB Henriot?
It is 2 million euros. It stabilizes. Jewelry compensates the erosion of small tableware, linked to the phenomenon of prevailing crisis. We're not on products necessities. The
tableware represent 15% export to USA but with the crisis, we have dozens of clients who have quite disappeared. We also need to revert to an export share of 20%.
"This is a complicated deal"

Some employees stationed in the premises now owned by the city, a CEO, Pierre Chiron, which is eager to find a buyer ... A context of uncertainty surrounding the 320th year of the pottery.

The number of your employees Has it changed since the social end of 2007 with 20 employees?
Since the workforce is stable, with 50 employees, including 35 in production.

How do they fall in your buildings?
Currently, we occupy one third of our surface, which is 6,000 sq ft on three or four levels. Our buildings are disproportionately large compared to the nature of our business. The goal is to share space. We were the seller of the property. There have been several projects. But the municipality wanted to have control of a strategic land. She had already acquired a portion of the premises.

What was the amount of the sale in September 2010?
1.8 million euros.
You also sold the shop in Paris?
Yes, today there remain only store Locmaria. That of Pont-Aven, which belonged to Pierre Chiron was also transferred.

Would you consider moving Locmaria?
Tomorrow, with new shareholders and new projects, we can not say with certainty that there would not move, but now we consolidate here. The principle to have other activities to be added to ours, that's interesting. It is possible to generate something dynamic and complementary. Many areas, such as canteen and changing rooms could be shared. There is also possibility of parking. We are in a listening period of decisions to be taken.

Pierre Chiron wants to retire and find new buyers for HB Henriot?
Yes. It was this desire for two years. Records are progressing well, but not tied.

early 2010, HB Henriot was about to change hands?
A sale has stalled, due to the death of a buyer, while we were in the MoU. It was a French buyer. Pierre Chiron has never done research abroad. It was early 2010. We had explained to other interested investors that it was done. He then had to restart the process. We came to this step. Discussions are underway with a record that at least advance.

Failure to be owner Real Estate penalizes you there or that he makes a possible takeover?
Failure to have any more real estate clarifies the situation. The city has a little more responsibility to get things done. There is a good spirit. The mayor will be attentive to renovate all or part of the building. It needs to preserve its endearing. We're getting between 30,000 and 40,000 visitors per year. We carry it at arms length. The tourism business is important to Quimper, and the attractiveness of our company.

You are a minority shareholder with 5% share, and CEO of HB Henriot. Will you remain in your position?
Seven years ago, Pierre Chiron has given new life cycle to the company. Today we need new blood, a little means a local context and promoted by the city. Given the scenario, I stay or I go. It is a time to manage complicated but I'm not a buyer. For that, it takes money.

Interview for The Telegram by Thierry Charpentier

Marc Andro: "Everything is subject to the future of the pottery ..."

"Today, we want Locmaria keeps calling artisanal and artistic image of earthenware
"said Marc Andro, vice president of Quimper Community and deputy mayor of Quimper
.
As to how the building could be emerging from HB Henriot bought by the city in late 2010 for an amount of 1.8 million euros: "Everything is subject to the future of
pottery, today we n 'have no accurate reflection "he says. The city had already purchased a disused part of HB Henriot with the small parking lot adjoining. "At Locmaria, we are also owns the old school rectory, the house that hosted Agora justice and one of the CCAS. We also have four exhibition halls of the Priory "recalls Marc Andro. What then of this cradle of china and this little jewel on the banks of the Odet? "We will conduct a project on the entire urban area, then an economic project, then a real estate and architectural" details the elected, attentive to the situation of the famous pottery.
