"What disappears continues in what appears" [1]

Francis Theo- Pencenat works by deleting and moving, it is well to test the memory images. Or rather, it highlights the reminiscences of the image relative to the collective memory. remains only a few fragments of a starting point like a distant memory, the mind unconsciously reconstructs what has disappeared or been altered. The hidden cost, creating an effect of confinement.
Francois Thibaut through his videos, photographs and installations, works on the idea of staging, it establishes a link between reality and fiction. His images are worked, exhausted, the place where the works are held too, it is sometimes put into abyss as a reflection of himself. There is indeed in this artist's will to create interference between the performance space and the space of exhibition. We interact more directly with, so the place but with works that highlight the features of the place in which they take place and finally they take ownership. His work at the minimum bill and are very accurate in some way or refractory tight, but by the play of the staging of François-Thibaut, a dialogue between them and creates a narrative which can not be to grasp the meaning. The viewer will feel lost in the meantime, there is no beginning or end, but lost in a space designed as a whole and yet fragmented.
For his solo exhibition at The Window 41, Francois Thibaut Pencenat imagined space the gallery as a theater, viewers will experience a back and forth between the front of the stage behind the curtain and the audience, with a body of work that shows while hiding, which does book that gradually absorbs and playing on the opposition presence / absence, show / hide, before / after. "Any First Time" is designed as a whole in which we must let loose, like a sort of way beyond the mirror, a world in decay, dark but at the same time a strange calm, "a presence and dehumanized absence humanized ". yp
